Blue Water Dories is the builder of custom flat bottom dories and drift boats.

The traditional dory is a small, shallow-draft boat, usually about 7-18 feet long with a flat bottom. Our one person dory is the Flycaster I and is custom designed at 7'-6" and weighs just 98 pounds. Our two person dory is the Flycaster II, 9 feet in length and about 121 pounds. Each boat is designed to fit into the back of any standard pick-up truck or can be easily loaded onto a utility trailer.

This revolutionary, lightweight, still water fly fishing platform was designed by a fly fisherman for fly fishermen. Ten years of design and testing has produced the finest fly fishing craft available.

Our custom dories are built with the fisherman in mind using lightweight fiberglass composite construction. They are wide with a flat bottom for great stability and plenty of interior space for you and your gear. The advantages of the Flycasters over other craft such as float tubes and pontoon boats are many. How about no waders or boots and no more cold feet or tired legs? Also unsurpassed mobility on any body of water and the ability to stand and cast to rising fish. And of course no need of a boat dock, ramp or boat trailer.
